The ultimate Sydney to Byron surf trip. Spend the first 4 days at surf camp learning the essentials as we prepare you for the waves in Byron Bay. Once in Byron Bay you’ll meet our local guides, get some local surf tips and hit the waves.

Itinerary

Departs Sydney Mondays at 7:30am bound for Surf Camp. Spend Monday to Thursday learning the basics and improving your surfing at the Seven Mile Beach surf camp. 8 lessons included in the 4 days.

Party at Scubar on Thursday night with your surf instructors and new surf mates before boarding an express overnight coach to Byron Bay. Wake up in Australia’s surfing mecca – the popular Byron Bay.

On arrival in Byron Bay, you’ll be greeted by our local guides who will provide you with surf & general info on Byron Bay. Unlimted use of our surfing equipment is supplied in Byron Bay.

Lessons

Our 4 day progressive surf course at surf camp will have you well prepared for the waves in Byron. This course includes 2 x 2-hour surfing lessons per day and is designed for absolute beginners. We teach paddling, standing up, dropping into waves and riding accross them.

Accommodation

Spend 3 nights in our modern beachside cabins at Surf Camp, only metres from the beach. Here, you’ll live a laidback surfer’s lifestyle with your surf instructors. Our Surf Camp accommodation is fit with a swimming pool, hot showers, DVD movies, hammocks, internet, laundry and cafe. Rooms are either 4 or 6 berth. Upgrades to to a private/double room can be requested at the time of booking.

Please note accommodation is not included in Byron Bay but can be easily booked on arrival in Byron Bay. The local guides will take you to Byron Bay YHA where you can check in. Byron Bay YHA is in the heart of town only a short walk to surfing beaches and other main attractions. Facilities include self contained kitchen, swimming pool, internet,  TV, games room and more.

The Food

All meals are included at Surf Camp. We know that surfing makes you hungry and we provide plentiful, tasty and healthy meals to meet your appetite. Vegetarian options are also available along with any other special dietary requests.

The Equipment

You will use our warm and comfortable Rip Curl wetsuits and custom designed beginner surfboards. All equipment is current technolgy and in excellent condition. A full range of wetsuit and surfboard sizes are available.

Banana Boat SPF 30+ water resistant sunscreen provided.

Transportation

All transportation from Sydney to Surf Camp to Byron Bay is provided is in our fully air-conditioned coaches.

Nightlife

Enjoy a drink over the sunset at the local pub with ocean views, up the road from Surf Camp. Back in Sydney, enjoy a fun filled night at Scubar on Thursday night with your surf instructors and new surf mates!  Byron Bay is a haven for young travellers and is popular for it’s vibrant nightlife. The accommodation is only a short walk from local pubs, bars and clubs. There is always plenty of quiet space for those looking for a chilled-out experience.
