General

Why Choose Surfcamp Sydney?

Surf Camp Australia is the original surf camp for beginners. Dating back since 1999, our successful format has enabled many people to experience the thrill of surfing. Our multi-day progressive course is designed for the beginner surfers in mind. Most people who undertake the course are able to stand up within the first lesson! Our beachside cabins are only a short distance from where the lessons are held. We’re only based 2 hours away from Sydney so you won’t be wasting your surfing and party time with travelling.

I've Never Surfed Before. Is That OK?

Definitely! Our progressive surf course is designed for absolute beginners in mind. We can’t stress enough that you don’t need any previous surfing experience to join our camps!

What's The Average Age Of Participants?

Surf Camp Australia welcomes all ages. However, most of our surfers are 18 to 27 years of age. There is no age restriction, although we do require a full paying adult to accompany anyone under 17 years. 17 year olds are obviously not allowed to drink!

When's The Best Time Of Year To Go To Surfcamp?

The weather is warmest during our summer months of December through to February. However, some of the best waves and low crowds are before and after this period. Surf Camp Australia operates all year.

Can I Still Participate If I'm No Longer A Beginner?

Of course! We cater for intermediate surfers. Surf Camp is the ultimate place to practice and improve your surfing !
